Bargain

Hey, present-Fang. Get over her.

You're just bargaining with yourself, on chips that you don't have, for a bet off the odds. Ditch the illusion you've conjured, and move on. What you're coyly doing is just a ruse, a stop-gap solution.

You know why you can't get out of the act? Because you want some justification that you had your reasons, to let your feelings be heard... eventually, maybe.

But you don't warrant that. Not when she's concerned. Because at the end of the day, you two are too different and speaking your mind won't change a thing.

You'll get by. Even though it means your silence over your pride. At the end of the day, this space will still inhabit your thoughts and feelings, regardless of their direction or magnitude.

Daredevil

Marvel's maiden attempt at a TV series to counter DC's growing support was surprisingly, pretty good!

Through the 13 episodes, there was a clear progression of things to come. And although some side-stories were underdeveloped and the finale slightly rushed, the TV series represents a proper tribute to a "B-rated Marvel hero".

That, and both the main female cast were amazing. Deborah Ann Woll played an alarmingly attractive and resourceful Karen Page, while the complex and alluring Vanessa Marianna was portrayed by Ayelet Zurer (a name that I somehow find hard to remember, had to Google it up).

Did I say alluring? Because that would be an understatement. Vanessa's character intrigues me, not because of her boldness in the face of Hell's Kitchen's most powerful and dangerous (hint: Kingpin), but how she gravitated towards Wilson Fisk's darkness. I found that somewhat beautiful, if not poetic, that there is always someone to support another.

Maybe that extends to my emotional needs. Anyway Daredevil is a great show, with no-nonsense plot progression and a interestingly dark take for a Marvel flick. Plus, it's a good buildup to Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man.

Quesadillas

So last night was my first time visiting the interiors of a sorority. Alpha Chi Omega, in this case, as they were selling quesadillas to raise funds for ACCESS, and to promote awareness of domestic violence.

The place honestly felt more like a hotel lobby from the inside. The company was nice, and it was a good break from school life.

I've also (sorta) come to terms with my priorities. I should focus on my career for now. Relationships can wait.

Well, onward to the interview I have in an hour, for a prospective lab job in Ames, and for The Last Bison gig tonight at the M-Shop. Toodles.
