Marvel's maiden attempt at a TV series to counter DC's growing support was surprisingly, pretty good!
Through the 13 episodes, there was a clear progression of things to come. And although some side-stories were underdeveloped and the finale slightly rushed, the TV series represents a proper tribute to a "B-rated Marvel hero".
That, and both the main female cast were amazing. Deborah Ann Woll played an alarmingly attractive and resourceful Karen Page, while the complex and alluring Vanessa Marianna was portrayed by Ayelet Zurer (a name that I somehow find hard to remember, had to Google it up).
Did I say alluring? Because that would be an understatement. Vanessa's character intrigues me, not because of her boldness in the face of Hell's Kitchen's most powerful and dangerous (hint: Kingpin), but how she gravitated towards Wilson Fisk's darkness. I found that somewhat beautiful, if not poetic, that there is always someone to support another.
Maybe that extends to my emotional needs. Anyway Daredevil is a great show, with no-nonsense plot progression and a interestingly dark take for a Marvel flick. Plus, it's a good buildup to Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man.
