Being apart

Haizz... I gotta ditch blogging and Facebook-ing starting from tommorow... damn... My parents really know how to make me fully utilize my time... on studies
Well, it's my last post for the next 6 months or so... No, it's not an April Fool's thing.

Good news, today 5 Kempas, Keledang and Meranti got to skip school to visit the Lakeside Campus of Taylor's University College. The campus was huge, although it wasn't fully furnished (the hotel, open to the public, is still under construction). Very chique and stylish I must say. So we were split into 2 groups: 1) Hospitality and fine dining and 2) Business. Me, Sabr, Atia, Joycebunan, Titanium Tobi, Aiman and Chin chosing the former, leaving Kevin alone for the business course. Well, it was kinda similiar to my trip to KDU College 2 years back, also in Fine Culinary Dining. The hospitality part, the speakers talked about you know, typical course stuff... But the most memorable stuff(s) has to be these 2

1) They were showing this video clip on the new campus and it's facilities. So, the dimmed the lights, with Thein and I situated right below the main fluorescent lights. Then, there was another video clip intended to be played after the first one. But one of the speakers forgot about it and switched the lights back on. The next 3 seconds was the memorable bliss of Thein and I cringing in pain as our corneas saw the sun once more.

2) Thein was sleeping during one of the talks and had stolen Joyce's phone prior to his snoozing. He placed it at his breast pocket of his uniform so we couldn't reclaim Joyce's phone. So, I phoned Joyce and Thein shot up with his chest vibrating... It was damn funny...

Oh well... Brain fluid's gotta flow...

Sometimes, music can say everything

Change Your Mind-Boyce Avenue

There you are with your perfect way
You’ve got that little shine in your eyes
To hear one word would make my day
But there’s no room for me in your life

Oh you’ve got me down on my knees
Oh and in my mind I can see
How perfect everything could be
But you won’t give us a try

If I could change your mind
How would you want me
Would you say you need me
Cause I need you now

I try to move on but your perfect way
Has got this little child asking why
But this world keeps spinning
As my heart stops beating
Is there still no room inside

Oh you’ve got me down on my knees
Oh and in my mind I can see
How perfect everything could be
But you won’t give us a try

If I could change your mind
How would you want me
Would you say you need me
Cause I need you now

If I could change your mind
(Please tell me I’m not the only one)
(Please help me believe I’m not the only one)
If I could change your mind

If I could change your mind
How would you want me
Would you say you need me
Cause I need you now
If I could change your mind
How would you hold me
Would you stay forever
Or just leave me here to drown

If I could change your mind
(Change your mind)
If I could change your mind
(Change your mind)

If only I can change her's...

Succumbed

Yea... I was awfully bored (after hogging the com from 7.30 till now). So I decided to dig up my old post from my other blog. No worries, it's been left alone for 3 years already, cause that's for me to know and for you to never find out ^^

Well... I guess it all started on this super emo post by another friend on my homepage (won't say which social network, for his/her sake). So I thought of revisiting my old self, as in my Form 2 self. Man, were all those post horrible... And I don't mean the internet jargon (all those incomplete words...) Well, I was one hell of a sad kid. Heck, I pity the old me damn lot. If I were another person, whoa I tell you. The first thing that will pop in my mind would be: "Nut job, psycho kid". Yes, nut job indeed.

God I feel so emo and depressed now... Heck, I can't even bring myself to sleep...

Oh well, the future is nothing without the past, eh?

Super Sunday

No, I don't mean "Yay tomorrow's a Sunday and the day after is back to school time!"

That's kinda the negative side of "Yay tomorrow's a Sunday!"

What I meant was the epic football clash between my side, Liverpool, against Manchester United (who are hosting).

No doubt the visitors will triumph AGAIN. I'm not being cocky here. It's just the statistics. Man U has NEVER beaten Liverpool, home or away, for the past 2 seasons.

Not to mention they were trashed 1-4 last year at home, and that was when cock head Cristiano Ronaldo played. And before that fixture, Liverpool whacked them 2-0 without both their captain, Gerrard AND Torres.

Moreover, Man U's main defender, Nemanja Vidic, has seen the red card for the previous 3 meetings. Sure, they may have Rooney, who is in amazing form I must say, playing upfront, but he's just one problem. No doubt Liverpool's assumed 5 pronged attack will outshine Man U's intricate wing players.

Gonna watch it with Liang, Daniel, David, and maybe Dev and Clarence. I predict the score tomorrow will be 1-2.

For the host,

Berba will probably score, or get the assist.

For Liverpool, I have a feeling the scorers will be

El Nino

and Gerro

maybe Il Principino will get the assists

Anyways, I can't wait. Cos it gonna be one hell of a game

Another drama, another episode of epic fails...

Well... the drama refers to the exams and the epic fails, I don't want to recall... Ask Joyce

When I had Malay exams on Friday night, I was reading this article in Reader's Digest on how to count the approximate size of one's vocabulary. The formula is as so:

Step 1) Count 2% of the pages in a dictionary and split the result into even sets

E.g. If there's a 2000 page dictionary, 2% would be 40 pages. Therefore, you can split into 8 sets of 5 consecutive pages. The more sets, the more accurate the reading.

Step 2) Count the number of words in each set and compare that to the number of words you know, and the number of words you use on a regular basis.

Step 3) Add all that data for both subsets (words you know and words you use regularly) and multiply that score by 50. That would be your final answer.

I actually had the luxury of time to calculate my range. But after my first set, I just gave up and multiplied my score for the first set with the other unfinished sets. I guess I still have a life... My score's 23840 for the words I know, just a fun fact

Yesterday, I had to balik kampung for early Cheng Beng and at night, we had dinner at this restaurant named "Restoran Fei Zhai" (Fat Guy Restaurant, no pun intended)

After a while, almost all the dishes were done, but Liang and I were still gorging the remainders. So I was standing up to reach for the kailan and my S'pore cousin cheekily pulled my chair away without me noticing. With the veggie, I sat down without looking back. Gravity did the rest. I fell flat on my butt, luckily I already placed my food on the plate. There was a sudden silence and I can tell my cousin was terrified. It was quite funny, really. Unfortunately, you guys can't see it.

Plus, I set my bro's alarm to wake me up at 3.50 a.m. for Liverpool's game against Portsmouth this morning. When I woke up, there wasn't any game on. I checked the guide only to find out that the game was on a Tuesday morning. Whoopdeedo... Oh well, for the Kop I will

I guess that's it for today. Ciaoz
